original title: "Sancai Tuhui." This monumental work is a comprehensive encyclopedia compiled during the Ming Dynasty by the scholar Wang Qi (1529–1612) and his son, Wang Siyi. Completed in 1607 and published in 1609, it serves as a visual and textual record of a wide variety of subjects, from astronomy and geography to biology and human history.
