For palace attendants original: 宮人 Gōngrén; women serving in the inner court who were not high-ranking consorts, the garments are purple with a round collar original: 團領 Tuánlǐng and narrow sleeves. The fabric is embroidered all over with sprigs of small hollyhock flowers, which are encircled with gold thread. The seams are decorated with pearl-netting original: 珠絡 Zhūluò; a decorative lattice-work made of pearls. They wear a gold waist belt original: 束帶 Shùdài and a red skirt.
Their shoes are bow-shaped original: 弓樣鞋 Gōngyàngxié; pointed or curved slippers often associated with the aesthetic of the time and embroidered with small gold flowers.
