Its leaves are small at the base and broader at the tip. It blooms with yellow flowers in late autumn. This "Night-Closing Gate" may indeed be a variety of Cassia. However, the Compendium does not mention "hernia" under its entry for Cassia seeds. Both accounts are preserved here for reference.
