For the positions of the Ten Philosophers, there are five positions on the East. At each position, sacrificial offerings are arranged in front. Additionally, a small table is centrally placed to hold the ritual silk, incense, and candles. There are five Jue original: "爵" (Jue), a tripod wine cup with two small pillars on the rim, used for ritual libations., with one assigned to each position. When the ceremony begins, the attendants pour wine into the cups. The Secondary Offering Official performs the rites and offers one additional cup in the center.
There is one Xing original: "鉶" (Xing), a ritual cauldron with a lid and two handles, typically used to serve seasoned soup. containing seasoned broth.
There are four Bian original: "籩" (Bian), a bamboo basket used to hold dry offerings like fruits and nuts. containing salt, dates, chestnuts, and dried venison.
There are four Dou original: "豆" (Dou), a high-stemmed bowl used for serving pickled vegetables and minced meats. containing pickled greens, pickled celery, minced venison, and minced rabbit.
There is one Fu original: "簠" (Fu), a rectangular vessel used for holding cooked broomcorn millet. containing broomcorn millet.
There is one Gui original: "簋" (Gui), a round vessel used for holding cooked foxtail millet. containing foxtail millet.
There is one Fei original: "篚" (Fei), a rectangular bamboo basket used to hold the ceremonial silk. containing one length of white silk, measuring one Zhang and eight Chi Approximately 6 meters or 19.5 feet. in length.
Regarding the animal sacrifice, the five positions share one pig, which is divided into five portions. These are placed on square wooden trays and set upon the tables. The five positions on the West follow the same arrangement.
