Wubei Zhiliterally "Records of Military Preparation" or "Treatise on Armament Technology" is the most comprehensive military encyclopedia in Chinese history. Compiled in 1621 by Mao Yuanyia military scholar and official of the late Ming Dynasty, this massive work consists of 240 volumes. It serves as a monumental record of Ming Dynasty military thought, covering subjects ranging from strategy and troop formations to weapons, defensive architecture, and maritime navigation.
