original: 河漕 (Hecao). This refers to the Grand Canal and other waterway systems used to transport "tribute grain" and military supplies.

Mao Yuanyi (1594–1640) used the "courtesy name" or style name Fangfeng. In late Imperial China, scholars were often referred to by these alternative names as a sign of respect.
