The Xuzhou Remote Dike extends to the listed stations.

From Three Mountain Peaks to the "Li" Character Station, the total length measures 28,550 zhang and 8 chi. original: "三山頭至李字舖". Based on Ming dynasty measurements, this is approximately 95 kilometers or 59 miles. The "Li" character refers to a section marker from the Thousand Character Classic.

The fields and lands, as far as the eye can see, have become a lake, while the main river channel is choked with silt. Consequently, when the water levels rise, boats sail through the middle of the marketplace while the people are forced to live on the mountain tops. This is because the narrow dikes constrained the water too tightly, making breaches and collapses inevitable. Since the construction of the Remote Dike YaodiA secondary, outer dike built further back from the main riverbank to create a wide floodplain, reducing the pressure on the primary dikes during floods. on the south bank, the containment area is broad and vast. Even during floods, the force of the water is slowed, making it easy to defend. The river channels are now spared from siltation, and the people's fields are saved from being submerged.

From the upper reaches at Long Mountain to Ta Mountain, where the terrain is high, Remote Dikes were built at a distance. These dike roads can be utilized for defense.
