An oval imperial seal at the top of the page contains the characters for the "Hall of Spreading Elegance" (Chizao Tang), an imperial library located in the Forbidden City. This seal indicates that the volume belonged to the private collection of the Emperor.

Imperially Commissioned Essentials of the Complete Library of the Four Treasuries, Volume 10,880 Masters’ Section original: "Zi Bu" (子部). In the traditional Chinese classification of books, the "Masters' Section" was the category for specialized technical, scientific, and philosophical works, distinct from classics, history, or literature.

Tables for the Imperially Composed Essence of Mathematical Sciences, Volume 5, Part 3 original: "Yuzhi Shuli Jingyun Biao" (御製數理精蘊表). This work was the most comprehensive mathematical compendium of the early Qing Dynasty, commissioned by the Kangxi Emperor. It integrated traditional Chinese arithmetic with the "New Western Methods" (logarithms and trigonometry) introduced by Jesuit scholars.
