This table presents common logarithms (base 10). To save space and maintain clarity, the table is divided into three columns: the integer being calculated, the leading five digits of the mantissa (the decimal part), and the final eight digits. For these five-digit integers, the "characteristic" (the whole number before the decimal point) is always 4. For example, to find the logarithm of 21,600, you combine the parts: 4.33344 53751169.
