original: "Chizao Tang Siku Quanshu Huiyao" (摛藻堂四庫全書薈要). The "Hall of Spreading Elegance" (Chizao Tang) was a specific imperial library located in the North Gate of the Forbidden City, built to house this exclusive, condensed version of the Great Library for the Qianlong Emperor's personal use.
original: "Zibu" (子部). Traditional Chinese bibliography divides all literature into four "treasuries" or branches: Classics, History, Masters, and Belles-lettres. The Masters Section includes works on philosophy, military strategy, medicine, astronomy, and the arts.
