When a gentleman meets you, there is brilliant joy; all that is sought shall be granted, and every matter shall bring auspicious prosperity.
When you wish to enter a battle-array to capture an enemy, immediately exit through the Heaven’s Gate 天門 (Tianmen) | The celestial gate located in the Northwest, associated with the 'Qian' hexagram and the realm of the gods and enter through the Earth’s Door 地戶 (Dihu) | The earthly passage located in the Southeast, associated with the 'Xun' hexagram; entering here symbolizes concealment within the physical world, riding upon the Jade Maiden 玉女 (Yunu) | Divine female attendants who serve as celestial messengers and protectors, often invoked for their ability to hide the practitioner from harm to depart.
The incantation says: "Compliance, compliance! Command, command! original: "諾諾譯譯" (Nuo-nuo yi-yi); these are ritual commands to the spirits to ensure immediate obedience I go forth without choosing a specific day; I return without choosing a specific time. I follow where the Big Dipper points, and I move in company with the gods. Let Heaven and Earth be overturned; let all the desires of my heart be obtained just as I wish. Cause my enemies to be confounded, taking East for West and South for North. If any should seek to recognize me, let them be so lost that they cannot use their calculations to track me. Close the gate and depart." All this must be done with a sincere and focused heart, calling upon the Jade Maiden three times.
The incantation for Riding the Jade Maiden says:
"Jade Maiden, Jade Maiden, most efficacious celestial spirit! Protect me, preserve me, elevate me, and convey me as I travel to [state your destination]. In the deep shadows and the profound darkness original: "窈窈冥冥" (Yaoyao mingming); a phrase from the Daodejing describing the mysterious, formless state of the Dao, let no one perceive my form. Let no man hear my voice; let no ghost perceive my essence. May those who wish me well find fortune, and those who wish me ill suffer calamity. Let all the hundred evils, ghosts, and thieves..."
