The seven officers mentioned above were originally part of the Daning Regional Military Commission. In the 3rd year of the Wanli era [1575], their titles were changed to Guerrilla General youji, though they continued to lead their shifts for border defense as before.
Upon their return original: "回日", they are each stationed at the guard stations and battalions weisuo of their respective home shifts for military training.
The Camp-Commanding Officers were specialized commanders who remained in specific fortified camps to oversee the daily administration, drill, and discipline of the resident garrison troops.
