Its chief district is called Münster original: 曼斯達士 (Mansidashi). The land here is extremely fertile and rich. There is also a subordinate district that is the largest in terms of trade. Its local products include iron, coal, salt, ham, cloth, damask, fine linen, and serge original: 嗶嘰 (biji); a durable twilled woolen fabric.

Its eastern border meets Nassau original: 那省 (Na sheng); its western border meets the Netherlands original: 尼達蘭 (Nidalan). To the south, it was previously divided into several parts: one was the territory of Jülich original: 汝里 (Ruli) bordering France; to the northwest were Westphalia original: 威花里阿 (Weihualia) and Essen original: 阿斯 (Asi); one part was Cleves original: 格里威斯 (Geliweisi); and one was Luxembourg original: 羅注 (Luozhu). These regions were later unified into a single administration and named the Rhine original: 臘引 (Layin).
The province is situated between Germany original: 耶麻尼 (Yemani); likely referring to the broader Germanic Confederation and Holland. Its total area is 9,725 square li approximately 15,300 square kilometers, with a population of 2,220,853 people. It governs thirty-six small districts. Its chief city is Cologne original: 戈祿尼 (Geluni) or Köln, where trade is exceptionally large. Additionally, the district of Cleves original: 格里威斯 (Geliweisi) is a strategic and well-fortified location equipped with cannon batteries. The province takes its name from its proximity to the Rhine River. On the eastern bank, there are great mountains, and the western bank is also mountainous, producing various resources.
