To its northeast lies the nation of Venezuela original: 威尼穌拉 (Wēinísūlā). Its territory spans 18,960 li a traditional Chinese unit of distance; here used to denote the vastness of the region and it has a population of 696,000. The land is divided into four departments and ten provinces. Depending on the elevation of the terrain, the inhabitants plant wheat, process coffee, and produce white sugar and other commodities.
