A collection of epistles containing Restraining the Common People from the Science of Theology
by Imam al-Ghazali original: "Iljām al-ʿAwām ʿan ʿIlm al-Kalām." This work argues that complex scholastic theology (Kalām) is unsuitable for the general public and can lead to confusion in faith.
And the book Deliverance from Error and the Clarification of States, also by him original: "al-Munqidh min al-Ḍalāl." An autobiographical work where al-Ghazali describes his spiritual crisis and his path through philosophy and Ismailism to Sufism.
And the book The Distinction between Islam and Infidelity, also by him original: "al-Tafriqa bayna al-Islām wa al-Zandaqa." A vital text on religious tolerance and the legal definition of who is considered a believer versus a heretic.
