Herbs and trees, becoming hairs, entered the skin. The Moon, becoming the mind, entered the heart. Death, becoming the out-breath apana, entered the navel. The Waters, becoming semen, entered the generative organ. 4
Hunger and Thirst said to Him the Creator, "Assign a place for us." He said to them, "I assign you a place within these very deities; I make you sharers with them." Therefore, to whatever deity an offering is made, Hunger and Thirst become sharers in it. This explains why human physiological needs like hunger are inextricably linked to our sensory and vital functions. 5
