we consider [it] from many labors. Our Savior and Master gladdens and comforts [us], because He is the cause of all the good things stored up for the saints. You will also seek for sleep and wakefulness to be allegorized in God, when we say sleep signifies the concession of God, and when we say wakefulness, it signifies His attention to providence. You will again seek other things. Therefore, thinking it a restraint to circulate the same things while appearing to say different things, we shall stop the discourse of the letter here, having rendered, as I suppose, even more than what you sought in your letters. Persuaded again that you wish to learn about all things, we are sending the whole symbolic theology itself, in which you will find everything: about wisdom, about the house, and about the solid food, which is divided into bread and offerings; and about all the other things. For such a book is an inventor of all symbolic theologies, and is in harmony with the sacred traditions which we have received from the holy apostle and our teacher.
