And the angel who went to call the prophet Micaiah spoke to him, saying, "Behold, all the prophets with one mouth speak good things concerning the king; be you also, then, in your words like the words of one of these, and speak good." And Micaiah said, "The Lord lives, whatever the Lord says to me, that I will speak." And Micaiah came to the king. And the king said to him, "Micaiah, if I go up to Ramoth-Gilead to war, or shall I refrain?" And he said, "Go up, and the Lord will prosper it into the hands of the king." And the king said to him, "How many times do I adjure you that you speak truth to me in the name of the Lord?" And Micaiah said, "Not so; I have seen all Israel scattered on the mountains as a flock that has no shepherd. And the Lord said, 'The Lord is not with these as God; let each return to his house in peace.'" And Ahab said to Jehoshaphat, "Did I not say to you, 'He does not prophesy good for me, but only evil'?" And Micaiah said, "Not so, not I; hear the word of the Lord. Not so; I saw the Lord God of Israel sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven stood about Him on His right and on His left.
