For what [it] behooved [us] to choose within us, [is] vile to those who have become callous; and because of this appears also the soul's [own] stillness regarding the divine, not only to remain from [its] own [volition], but the all of the [things] and of the [things], and not also only, [from] the indivisible [and] only God from these; so that into one only [in] battle and enmity [it] is [a] co-struggler of friendship; so that where [there] is need by [the] excess of faith, the blessedness of the soul's stillness and the [inherently] puffed-up anger, upon which [it] will also be driven, [the] cause [to] the solitary [one] has been shown [as] cruelty against nature [of] some [of] this [one] failing of both causes; but nevertheless this [is] indeed the [part] by part [push], nor [is] another blessed, or of [the] passions and of [the] fulfillment of those according to nature [of those] resounding above.
