Now, for the certainty of this matter, I wish to bring to light just a little more in this booklet for Christendom, and specifically as I have received it from God, and as the Holy Revelation of Jesus Christ also places before our eyes through images and figurative languageOriginal: "verblümte Redensarten." Literally "flowery speech," referring to allegorical or symbolic expressions in scripture.; but especially through the seven trumpetsOriginal: "Posaunen." In German biblical contexts, this usually refers to the trumpets of the Apocalypse. of God, which currently call out to us in all the world: "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven, or the kingdom of God, has come very near." Therefore, only a little will be reported regarding this, so that one may know how to conduct oneself accordingly.
We read in Chapter 8, in the first verse:
And when the Lamb of God opened the seventh sealOriginal: "Siegel." Refers to the Seven Seals of the scroll in the Book of Revelation., there was a silence in heaven for about half an hour; and John saw seven angels who stood before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.
Regarding this half-hour and this silence in heaven, many different opinions have already been published; some believe it to be a propheticIn prophetic interpretation, a "prophetic" unit of time often scales differently (e.g., a day for a year), whereas a "common" unit is literal time. half-hour, others a common one.
