When one closely examines this 10th chapter of Daniel, one will find that it deals with nothing but great, important, and spiritual matters, in which Daniel himself fell to the ground, and there was no more strength left in him; he remained completely silent, but after 3 weeks Daniel 10:2 mentions Daniel mourning for "three full weeks" before receiving his vision. he was comforted again.
Now these 21 years—during which the Prince of the Land of Persia In Daniel 10:13, the "prince of the kingdom of Persia" is described as withstanding the heavenly messenger for twenty-one days. resisted the Lord Christ—and the 3 weeks during which Daniel was in mourning (which also signify 21 years), we will find even more clearly in the Holy Revelation The Book of Revelation.. We will also find what they signify and that they certainly concern great things. When one considers the 3rd, 4th, and 5th verses of the 8th chapter of Revelation, where this same silent half-hour is described, one will find that they deal purely with divine worship and spiritual matters; and the same is true for the whole chapter in Daniel. This is the whole essence of the divine half-hour and the silence in heaven: that worship in the church-heavenA mystical term referring to the spiritual state of the visible Church on earth. on earth is completely still, and the office of preaching original: "Predigamt." This refers to the public ministry and the formal proclamation of the Gospel. ceases and remains silent for 21 years.
