...[hea]then writings should not be regarded as our foundation or rule for seeing anything in the light of nature original: "Lumine naturæ." This refers to natural reason or the inherent intelligence within the created world, as opposed to divine revelation.; rather, they should be surrendered to the East Wind original: "Vulturno," the Roman name for the southeast wind, here used metaphorically to mean casting something away or letting it be scattered., and instead, the highest Book of WISDOM original: "SAPIENTIÆ", which proceeds from the one Spirit of God, should be sought as the CENTER of nature. In that same book is the foundation, the truth, and knowledge of all things; this must be obtained from God through humble prayer alone, as CHRIST himself teaches us: Seek first the KINGDOM OF GOD original: "Quærite primum REGNVM DEI." See Matthew 6:33.: And the Holy Apostle JAMES: If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, for there is the wellspring of all wisdom. This book shows us first the great book of Great Nature, which truly is written and announced original: "intimiret" not with ink, but with the finger of God. From this book, everyone should investigate nature, for therein she is not literal The author suggests that nature is a living text of divine signs rather than a book of letters.. But how the Great Book is to be understood, the great Book of WISDOM teaches us, which is poured into us by the Spirit of God upon our request.
Since we now find in nature first of all that every thing should and must be recognized from its beginning for what it is, we must first seek the foundation of the first creation of all things and call upon God the Holy Spirit for understanding, so that from this we may find the true essence and property of the aforementioned three Magical Stones. Therefore, I will first describe the Creation—as much as Holy Scripture and philosophy show me, according to the understanding given to me—and then set and build the three Magical Stones upon this foundation, etc.
"Tetragrammaton" refers to the four-letter Hebrew name of God, YHWH, often used in mystical contexts to represent the divine essence.
Description of the Trinity.
From eternity, God was, and the second person of the Godhead is born from eternity from the Father: and from both of them, from eternity, proceeds the third person, the Spirit of God; all three of equal power in one single divine, inseparable essence: through whom all things were created and preserved. When the highest Trinity of God resolved in the divine, most wise counsel to create the world, the angels, mankind, and in short original: "in Summa" all of nature, then God the Father, through the Word as the second person, created things not into their final essence, but only into the confused prime matter original: "primam materiam confusam." In alchemy, this is the "First Matter," a chaotic, undifferentiated substance containing the potential for all things., that is, the Matrix original: "Matricem", in which all creatures of the whole world were mixed together: for which reason it was then called by the philosophers and in Holy Scripture the Abyss of the Earth original: "Abusa terra vel Abyssus terræ"; likewise, a thing in which all things lie hidden.
