Mental Influence At the time of publication in the early 20th century, "Mental Influence" referred to the New Thought concept that the human mind could project energy or influence to affect other people and circumstances.
William Walker Atkinson Atkinson (1862–1932) was a highly influential figure in the New Thought movement. He was a lawyer and publisher who authored dozens of books on self-help, psychology, and occultism, often writing under various pseudonyms such as Yogi Ramacharaka.
