Just as the difference between the lowest tone the human ear can distinguish and the highest note the same sense organ can perceive is merely a difference in the rate of vibration—just as the difference between the dull red color at one end of the spectrum and the violet at the other (including the intervening colors of indigo, blue, green, yellow, and orange, and all their various combinations)—and just as the difference between the greatest degree of cold known to science and the greatest degree of heat imaginable—just as these great differences are due solely and wholly to varying rates of vibration, so too is the difference between any and all forms of matter or force simply a matter of the rate of vibration.
In short, all material and physical "things" are simply manifestations of different rates of vibration. Despite their apparent differences, they are all merely manifestations of some "infinite and eternal energy from which all things proceed," original: "infinite and eternal energy from which all things proceed"; a famous phrase by philosopher Herbert Spencer, whose ideas on evolution and energy heavily influenced early 20th-century "New Thought" writers. and their differences result merely from the different degrees of vibration being manifested in them.
