The eye sees the lower rays, but the higher ones are detected only by instruments adapted for that purpose. Your eye cannot see an X-ray original: "X-Ray" as it passes through a room, but the photographic plate will catch it, and a photograph may be produced by its light. The rays of light visible to the eye are only the lower ones; the higher ones are far beyond the power of the eye to record.
