...end, it reconstructs the resounding original: "sonorous" movement transmitted by electricity rather than sound. But these are only comparisons."
When a thought or feeling is produced in the mind or brain of a person, the energy created flows out from the person's brain in the form of waves of mental energy. These waves spread from the thinker's immediate vicinity to a distance proportional original: "proportioned" to the strength of the thought or feeling. These thought waves have the property of triggering similar vibrations in the minds of other people who enter their field of force, according to the laws of Mental Induction Mental Induction: the process by which a mental state is transferred from one person to another via mental "currents," similar to how a magnet can induce magnetism in a piece of iron, a principle that will be explained in the next chapter.
As we continue our study of Mental Influence in the following chapters, we will see the many different ways thought waves manifest. At this point, we will simply look at the phenomena in a general way.
Thought waves appear in various forms and stages. Some are the waves released original: "emanated" from the minds of all thinkers unconsciously and without a specific purpose; these usually do not have much force. Others are sent out with great power and travel far, exerting an influence proportional original: "commensurate" to the force with which they are projected.
