Occult: Derived from the Latin occultus, meaning "hidden" or "secret." In this context, it refers to the study of spiritual or supernatural powers that are not visible to the ordinary eye.
Aura: A field of subtle, luminous radiation said to surround a person, which those with "psychic" sight claim can reveal the individual's emotions and health.
Astral: Relating to a non-physical level of existence. "Astral colors" are the specific hues seen in the aura that represent different mental and emotional states.
Swami Panchadasi was a pseudonym for William Walker Atkinson (1862–1932), an influential American figure in the "New Thought" movement who often wrote under various names to share Eastern-inspired philosophy.
