(Nikhila-manuja-cittaṃ jñāna-sūtrair-navair-yaḥ / srajam-iva kusumānāṃ kāla-randhrair-vidhatte | sa laghum-api mamaitaṃ prācya-vijñāna-tantuṃ / upahṛtam-ati-bhaktyā modatāṃ me gṛhītvā ||)
May He—who links the minds of all people through the passages original: "apertures" of time with new threads of knowledge like a garland of flowers—be pleased to accept this, my thread of Eastern thought original: प्राच्यविज्ञानतन्तुं (prācya-vijñāna-tantuṃ), where "prācya" means Eastern and "vijñāna" refers to specialized knowledge or science.. Though it may be small, I offer it with the greatest devotion.
