3. When the soul is established in the certainty of its own oneness, it is beautiful and admirable everywhere in the universe. Therefore, the claim that bondage is one and the same with the soul is contradictory and incorrect.
A soul’s self-absorption is its own natural, real state and is synonymous with "unshakeable bliss." It remains admirable as long as it stays true to the qualities of its own radiant nature. A soul with such high potential should remain faithful to its true essence. To become subject to the bondage of Karma and the miseries it brings is contrary to the soul’s nature. The author wishes to emphasize that we should not crave the miserable unreality of our flawed, worldly lives when we can instead aspire to reach the purity of our highest spiritual status.
