Figure 1: A circular shield with a tan background. At the top is a depiction of a spotted mountain lion with a black face and black paws, facing left. Below the lion is a large raptor, likely an eagle, with its wings spread and tail feathers fanned; its body is white with black spots and its wings and tail are striped black and white. Flanking the eagle are two long, undulating snakes with dark spots on their bodies. Several 'X' marks and one '+' mark are scattered around the shield's surface. The shield is framed by long, vertical fringes of alternating white and black feathers hanging from the top and sides.
