Three parts? bound together
The bookplate of the Smithsonian Institution Libraries is displayed here. On the top left, the Smithsonian logo shows a yellow sunburst with twenty-four rays inside a blue circular border. The name of the institution is printed to the right of this logo. Below, a rectangular border encloses an acknowledgement for a gift.
Dr. Frederick M. Bayer (1921–2007) was a prominent marine zoologist and curator at the Smithsonian Institution. He specialized in the study of corals.
