Therefore not in vain [are]
these titles and words [such as]
most mighty, most powerful, and [so on]. For God confirms [the]
Imperial Highness, gives its [power and]
authority, so that it is feared, honored, [and]
further spread.
Since then, most gracious [Lord]
Your Imperial Majesty, by the ord[er]ing of God, also to this high [position]
have come, and before other potentates [possess]
not insignificant kingdoms, lands, [and]
furthermore with high wisdom and all [virtues]
have been gifted by God, who [is] with right worthy
gold and its nature to be compared, and many praiseworthy
Imperial mines under your control have, to which [Your]
Majesty all those working the mines [and]
subjects, under the protection of the regiment and [peace]
they are, and apply their own [effort] to it, a completely full
trust have, all grace, benevolence, and support [to]
Your Imperial Majesty for the best of the common land to
expect and look forward to.
Thus I am of the undoubted hope that Your Imperial
Majesty will [find] this my work, which I to Your
Imperial Majesty for honor, and for all miners, common
assayers, smelters, and other such fiery
craftsmen, who still lack instruction, and for whom
this my well-meaning diligence will come, for use
and benefit written, however lowly it may be,
most graciously accept from me, and let it be [well]
pleasing to you. I do herewith to Your Imperial Majesty [most]
humbly commend myself, with wishing from GOD
long-lasting health, blissful government, and
victory against Your Roman Imperial Majesty's enemies.
