A rectangular engraved bookplate is pasted in the center of the page. It features a detailed coat of arms with a helmet and ornate, scrolling mantling. The crest above the helmet depicts a wyvern, a mythical winged dragon, with its wings raised. The shield is divided. The upper portion shows a bird with wings spread, possibly an eagle or falcon. The lower portion features a chevron between three martlets, which are heraldic birds often depicted without feet. A ribbon beneath the shield contains the motto I rejoice original Latin: "GAUDEO". Below the heraldic image, the owner's name is printed in a Gothic style typeface.
