This image shows a grayscale photograph of an irregular, torn fragment from a manuscript page. The fragment contains approximately 28 lines of text written in a compact Greek minuscule script. The edges of the fragment are jagged, particularly on the left side and bottom. In the upper-left corner, a modern hand has written "ff 77" (folio 77). A large, circular digital watermark from the Vatican Library with the text "Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana ALL RIGHTS RESERVED" is superimposed over the center of the fragment, further obscuring the already faded ink.
This page is a palimpsest—a piece of parchment that was reused in the Middle Ages. The original ancient text was scraped away to make room for this 13th-century writing. Due to the severe degradation of the parchment, the loss of text at the torn edges, and the digital watermark, the majority of the content is currently illegible.
(Approximately 28 lines of dense Greek minuscule script are present, but largely illegible.)...
