The manuscript is written in dense Byzantine minuscule. This script often uses "Nomina Sacra," which are specialized abbreviations for sacred names like God, Lord, Christ, and Spirit, often marked with a horizontal line above the letters.
...and in the Holy Spirit. original: πνεύματι τῶι ἁγίῳ (pneūmati tōi hagiōi) Because of this, the grace as well, since God spoke to the fathers through the prophets. In these last days, he has spoken to us in a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom he also created the ages. He is the radiance original: ἀπαύγασμα (apaugasma); an effulgence or light-beam emanating from the source of light of his glory and the exact representation original: χαρακτὴρ (charaktēr); the precise image or impression made by a seal of his essence, original: ὑποστάσεως (hypostaseōs); the underlying reality or substance of God's being sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. He became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.
For to which of the angels did he ever say: "You are my Son; today I have begotten you"? And again: "I will be a Father to him, and he shall be a Son to me"? And when he again brings the firstborn into the world, he says: "Let all God’s angels worship him." Regarding the angels he says: "He makes his angels spirits original: πνεύματα (pneumata); can also be translated as 'winds' and his servants a flame of fire."
But regarding the Son he says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; original: ἀνομίαν (anomian); the state of being without law or in violation of it therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions."
And: "In the beginning, Lord, you founded the earth, and the heavens are the works of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will roll them up like a cloak, and they will be changed; but you are the same, and your years will never end." But to which of the angels has he ever said: "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet"? Are they not all ministering spirits original: λειτουργικὰ πνεύματα (leitourgika pneumata); spirits engaged in public or sacred service sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?

...that God is love. original: ὁ θεὸς ἀγάπη ἐστίν (ho theos agape estin); one of the most famous definitions of God in the New Testament And the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. In this, love has been perfected among us, so that we may have confidence on the day of judgment, because as he is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment. original: κόλασιν (kolasin); can refer to torment, correction, or punishment The one who fears has not been perfected in love.
