The parchment is heavily worn and faded. There is a significant loss of detail in the illustrations. Modern library watermarks from the Vatican Library are overlaid on the original content. A modern library stamp is visible at the bottom.
This page contains six rectangular miniature paintings arranged in a grid of two columns and three rows. Wide red borders frame each scene. These faded illustrations depict themes from Virgil's Georgics. The first scene shows figures standing in a landscape. The second shows figures appearing before a structure or city wall. The third features livestock, possibly a bull or ox. The fourth shows an architectural structure, perhaps an arched entryway or a grotto. The fifth scene contains figures and a prominent decorative initial letter S. The final landscape scene is largely illegible due to damage.
S...? This large initial letter S likely begins the text of the Georgics. In this manuscript, the letter is integrated into the miniature illustration.
