A historical bookbinding in dark brown leather appears here. The cover features elaborate blind-tooled decorations consisting of several concentric rectangular borders. Both the central panel and these borders contain repeating ornamental motifs, including circular patterns and scrolled designs. Five decorative metal bosses, likely brass or bronze, are attached to the cover: one at each of the four corners and one in the center. These bosses are shaped like crosses with lobed edges and a central rounded stud. The leather shows significant age and wear, including surface scratches, abrasions, and small holes consistent with insect damage. Two metal feet or stand-offs are partially visible along the bottom edge of the binding.
