The statesman who inspired such respect and admiration in everyone, and the skilled writer, remained always simple and humble in his high position. He was accessible to everyone, and especially to the humble. He always listened to their requests and tried to satisfy them, but he never made a promise he was not capable of fulfilling. He did not hesitate to tell the truth even to the great, when they strayed from justice. Through his skill and clear explanations, he became beloved by the students of the Mülkiye Imperial School of Political Science, who waited impatiently for his lecture hours, and he left to them and their successors lectures prepared on financial studies.

Finally, it can be said of Mikael Pasha that he owed nothing to luck, and that he himself caused his star to shine.
