The General Epistle

A large copperplate engraving depicts a high-ranking Armenian cleric, identified as St. Nerses the Gracious, standing on a pedestal in full liturgical regalia. He wears a mitre, a heavy cope, and an omophorion decorated with crosses. He holds an episcopal crozier with two serpents. An angel emerges from clouds to his left, and the Holy Spirit as a dove descends to his right. The signature "Pomp. Ale. Rossi." is visible.
