The work which is entitled: Hymns and Sermons of Saint Ephraem the Syrian, which were collected from the Londinian, Parisian, and Oxonian codices, edited, translated into Latin, provided with various readings, and illustrated with notes and prolegomena by Thomas Josephus Lamy, Honorary Canon of the Cathedral Church of Namur, Doctor of Sacred Theology, Knight of the Order of Leopold, Member of the Royal Academy of Brussels, Professor Ordinary of Sacred Scripture and Semitic Languages, and President of the Marie-Thérèse College, having been reviewed by the authority of the Most Eminent Cardinal Archbishop of Mechlin and in accordance with the rules of the Academic laws, and since nothing has been found contrary to the faith or good morals, it may be printed.
