A detailed engraving depicts the biblical scene of Jacob's Ladder. In the lower right, a man with a beard (Jacob) sleeps on a hillside amidst trees and foliage. A ladder extends from the ground beside him diagonally upward toward the heavens. Four winged angels are shown on the ladder, ascending and descending. At the top, God the Father appears within a radiant cloud, looking down and gesturing with outstretched arms. The artist's signature "Rinnard del." is visible in the bottom left corner of the illustration, and the Armenian text "line 32" is printed in the bottom right corner.
