FOR THE FIRST BOOK
What is the proposal of this work?
1. — A discourse concerning the pre-existence pre-existence: the theological concept that Christ existed before his human birth and divinity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
2. — And how the names Jesus and Christ were known of old and honored by the holy and divinely-inspired prophets.
3. — That the doctrine of the worship of God through Christ, preached to the gentiles, is not something new or foreign.
4. — Concerning the time of His manifestation among men.
5. — And how at that time, according to the foretold prophecies, the rulers who led the Jewish nation from ancient noble lineage lineage: specifically the hereditary line of Judah failed, and the first foreign king, Herod, reigned.
6. — Concerning the supposed disagreement among the Evangelists regarding the genealogy of Christ.
7. — Concerning Herod's treacherous slaughter of the infants, and what kind of evil end befell him.
1. — What is the discourse of its beginning?
2. — A section on the principles spoken concerning the priority of the divinity of the Savior and our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
3. — Concerning the names of Jesus and Christ, which were revealed and honored by the holy prophets.
4. — That the doctrine of the worship of God, which our Savior preached, is not new or foreign.
6. — The Armenian text skips number 5 in this second list. That in His time, as foretold by prophecy, those leaders who had previously been the rulers of the Jews from their own ancestral line came to an end. And the first foreign king over them was Herod.
7. — Concerning the variation in the genealogies of Christ, which appears as though the Evangelists do not agree with one another.
8. — Concerning the treacherous killing of the infants of Bethlehem by Herod, and what kind of evil end befell him.
