...the accomplisher of the inscrutable will of the Father, the establisher of all substances substances: From the Armenian "համագոյից" (hamagoyits), referring to the "co-essential" or created things that share in existence. alongside his Father, and the cause of those things that came into being after the Father. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made. John 1:1, 3. Eusebius cites this to prove the Word's role as the instrument of the Father’s creation.
The same also the great Moses, the first of the prophets, at the time when he wrote by the Spirit of God concerning the creation of the world, taught that the Framer and Creator of all things was no other than Christ Himself—as His truly divine Word—leaving the creation of subordinate things to Him. And at the fashioning of man, He [the Father] took Him as a counselor in His counsels, for:
God said: "Let us make man according to our image and according to our likeness." Genesis 1:26. Early Church Fathers interpreted the plural "Let us" as a dialogue between the Father and the Son.
Another of the prophets also guarantees this, speaking in his hymns concerning God, that:
He spoke and they were made; He commanded and... Psalm 33:9. This emphasizes that God the Father speaks the command, and the Word carries it out.
...the true and only-begotten God. For He is over all, Lord and God and King; who simultaneously possesses sovereignty and authority, along with power and divinity, and the honor of glory from the very nature of the Father's existence—He who, according to the counsels of the Holy Scriptures regarding His divinity:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word itself was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made through Him, and without Him not even one thing was made. John 1:1, 3.
Indeed, this very thing was written by Moses, the first among the prophets, at the time when he wrote by the Spirit of God regarding the existence and establishment of created things; he wrote of this Christ, that He is the Creator and Preparer of all. That is to say, because the Word of God, who was begotten from the beginning, was made a partner and associate in establishing man there; for he says:
God said: "Let us make man according to the likeness and according to the image of our form." Genesis 1:26.
And upon these words, another prophet sets his seal by saying of God in his hymns:
For He spoke and they were made, and He Himself commanded and they were established; Psalm 33:9.
that is to say, He [the Son] was a participant in the work according to the Father's will. This [Word], from the beginning of the birth of mankind, all those who were once named for their righteousness and through their wondrous works of piety—the house of Moses, and...
