That which was done by Mar Jacob of Serugh.

That was there: if the redemption of the fathers is thus from that:
In that redemption the sea was straightened before the children of Jacob:
But in that grave from it our Lord the door of it was opened,
The body of the angel watches (which was opened original: "d'etpatah"): and thus death is stripped from
Life that is clothed: there the rod by the hand of Moses and where the wall
Within the sea: and thus the cross in the tomb, it had silenced death
Was: there the agitation of the sea was calmed and they crossed in peace:
And thus the door between the lost and the robbers went out: That redemption
From it went out to the life of the Egyptians: and this one however makes them alive
From within the grave: there from the rod of Moses the waters were not disturbed
Were: and thus the cross is the ascent to the abyss that was straightened:
There the children of Jacob ascended from within the sea: and they crossed
They shall go out to the land to praise: and thus the righteous shall go out, the body
In death however: in the voice that they brought out the righteous shall go out to praise:
Where the wall was from where that minister: his body God
To be redeemed was that you were made liable: in that redemption the rod of the ark
Silenced the sea: in the house of the lost and gave lives and the resurrection:
Waters for the Egyptians he strangled to the children of life he led to the land: and within to the land
And gave peace and brought up peace:
And brought up the fear and gave to the rest
And revealed to the earth: he silenced the sea in the mystery of the rod and silenced the storm:
The door of death did not stand that which is between as it is decreed: and it was opened they shall go out.
