Do not listen and become liars, while you do not estrange the furnace of the heart from the mystery of that which is the body. For He did not make His own, and He and His work are known by men and all. Through the hands of whom? Also the apostle Paul: "For none of us lives to himself, and no man dies to himself. For if we live, we live unto our Lord. And if we die, we die unto our Lord. And if we rejoice, and if we are weak, and if we live, we are of our Lord. For this reason Christ also died, and lived, and rose again, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living" original: "Romans 14:7-9".
Note. (Of the spiritual) Therefore, the Life who became Lord of the dead and of the living: He who was not for any other thing, but for this the apostle died and rose. Who then do we say became subject to resurrection and lives, and rose from the house of the dead? God or the body? And I hope that everyone confesses. Lord, therefore, we say, that He is the likeness and is cut off from the powers, the God the Word who is from the Father; or is He able to be from death and lacking in powers, like one who is living? And to whom is it not clear, that it is His from death, because He is Life? How then did He become from the house of the dead the Son of the Free, as the books say? For God the Word in His nature does not die. We say, however, that because from you is His body, He is the liar who lives. This, therefore, was not apart from the body, that it is not His own work.
