This poem in twelve-syllable verse, written in the 5th century, cannot be compared, either in content or in form, to the Complete History of Joseph by St. Ephrem that we published about ten years ago. This latter work is far superior to that of Mar Narsai. It is a poem of 7 syllables, divided into twelve books.
