ah, made in Ambi in 1884, is designated by the letter A (Americans).
The London copy, made in 1889, add. 3636, is designated by the letter L (London).
The most correct version was made in Qodshanes original: "Cotchanès" on the manuscript of the Patriarch of the Nestorians, by Raban Yonan of Tkhouma, the most learned man of his nation; it belongs to Chamacha Ouchana of Tkhouma; it is designated by the letter T.
These different copies seem to have been taken from one another, and in none of them is the name of the author found.
The verification of the Urmia manuscripts was done by Benjamin Bar-Qasha-Jacob of Ardishai original: "ܒܢܝܡܝܢ ܒܪ ܩܫܐ ܝܥܩܘܒ ܕܐܪܕܝܫܝ", and that of the London manuscripts by Chamacha Augustin of Kiossabad.
In our first edition, we ourselves missed some omissions, some inaccuracies, as well as some spelling errors; we eagerly seized this opportunity to correct them. We insisted on preserving the character of the text by leaving it as we found it in the various manuscripts; we preferred to put corrections and cross-references in notes at the bottom of the pages.
