The Syriac text was edited by PETER BENEDICT Petrus Benedictus (1663–1742), also known as Pierre Mubarak, was a Maronite scholar and Jesuit who played a crucial role in making Syriac literature accessible to the West. of the Society of JESUS; he added vowel marks Syriac is often written without vowels; adding them makes the text readable for students and scholars., translated it into Latin, and enriched it with various commentaries.

The hall features a high vaulted ceiling decorated with frescoes and is lined with ornate wooden cabinets and bookshelves adorned with heraldic shields and intricate carvings.
