...Jacobite patriarch, by the name of Ignatius who was living in the year 1598.
IGNATIUS, formerly PETRUS HODAIE or Hudaeus. He was living in the year 1622.
IGNATIUS, who is also ABDALMESSIAS 1.
IGNATIUS, alias SIMEON, who, after having embraced the Catholic faith, led many Jacobites to it. For this reason, forced to leave Mardin, he withdrew to Aleppo, where he died in the year 1662.
IGNATIUS, formerly ANDREAS ACHIGIAN, son of Abdalgali, substituted for the deceased Simeon by the orthodox Syrians, held the patriarchal seat until the year 1678, when he died at Aleppo 2.
IGNATIUS, who is also PETRUS GREGORIUS, a relative of Abdelmessias, the Jacobite patriarch, was subrogated by the Catholics from being Archbishop of Jerusalem in place of Andreas in the year 1678. In the same year, he created two orthodox bishops: namely, Gregory Josue in Jerusalem, and Dionysius Rescallam in Aleppo. The following year, confirmed as patriarch by the Roman Pontiff, he instituted Basilius Isaac as Maphrian a high-ranking ecclesiastical official in the Syrian tradition of the East. Finally, he died in the prison of Adana on March 4, 1701.
STEPHANUS, declared patriarch of the orthodox, died in a most wretched prison in Adana, a confessor of the faith, along with three bishops, around the year 1706 3. From this year until 1783, the orthodox lacked a patriarch.

Meanwhile, the following presided over the Jacobites as patriarchs:
IGNATIUS, alias SCHOCRALLA or Shukr-allah, who was intruded into the place of Simeon after he had embraced the true faith. He was holding the seat in the year 1667 4.
IGNATIUS, who is also ABDELMESSIAS, was already presiding over the Jacobites in the year 1678. He died in 1687, when a successor was given to him.
IGNATIUS, formerly GEORGIUS, a monk of Mosul, who, with the help of the Mohammedan governor of Aleppo, drove the orthodox patriarch Petrus Gregorius and his successor into exile in Adana. Georgius presided over the heretics until the year 1710, when he perished 5.
IGNATIUS, who is also ISAAC, elected from being Maphrian high-ranking ecclesiastical official to patriarch in the year 1710, was still presiding over the Jacobites in 1722.
IGNATIUS, who is also SCHUKR-ALLAH or Shokr-allah, successor to the former, held the seat in the years 1730–1733. At what time he died remains unknown to us.
IGNATIUS, who is also GEORGIUS III. Feeling that he was near death, he sent a profession of faith to Rome, asking for union with the Holy See. He died in 1783, after having designated Dionysius Michaël Djarve, Bishop of Aleppo, who had embraced the Catholic faith, to be his successor in the patriarchal seat.
