we have also ignored certain contractions of words in very frequent use, such as Mshi ܡܫܝ for Mshiha ܡܫܝܚܐ .
However, in the proper names of men or places, we have chosen to indicate the smallest differences; yet if these occurred consistently the same way, then for the sake of brevity they were noted only the first few times.
Whoever wishes to look at the following table will easily discover what we ourselves think about the aforementioned manuscripts, namely that the London manuscript was rightly preferred over the Oxford or Cambridge ones for preparing the edition.
The letter C will denote the Cambridge manuscript, O the Oxford one, C O both. The larger numbers denote columns, the smaller ones denote lines.
